The Sydney opera house has one of the most stunning architecture in Sydney featuring beautiful white shells against the beautiful Sydney harbors. Opened in 1973, the Sydney opera house was the idea of the director of the NSW State Conservatorium of Music, Eugene Goossens. There was a competition to select the design for the opera house and the competition was won by a Danish architect named Utzon in 1957. However, he had to leave the project due to creative differences. The Sydney opera house was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II in 1973. This magnificent building took 10,000 workers and cost 104 Australian dollars to complete. The building also has a room dedicated to Utzon named Utzon room which was opened in the year 1999.
